Eurasia Tunnel Museum, the exhibition design and direction of which was created by AVCI ARCHITECTS under the curation and direction of SANJA JURCA AVCI, opened at the same time as the Eurasia Tunnel on Tuesday, December 20th, 2016.

Where Engineering Meets Culture
The story of the Eurasia Tunnel is told with cutting-edge digital mapping technology, engaging the visitor in the Tunnel’s head-spinning process of creation, which is itself a wonder of human resource, creativity, and endeavor. The museum matches this with its creative techniques of storytelling from interactive touch tables, virtual reality glasses, interactive touch-pads, to an all-immersive ‘surround vision’ projection environment, which will absorb visitors like never before in Turkey. This museum is a pioneering design approach for Turkey, which will put it on the map as a must-see event in Istanbul. The exhibition in the museum came to life with the contributions of Şener Çardak as the technical design consultant. Construction and installation of the exhibition were realised by SERGİKUR, while all digital works and touch screens of the exhibition were prepared in collaboration with NOHLab and NERDWORKING.

Our role here was to, with our sister company Avcı Architects, design the exhibition, taking on the roles of curator, writer, editor, graphic designers, and then, after agreeing on a construction budget, complete all construction documentation, including shop drawing level of details. Under the direction of Sanja Jurca Avci, we employed the services of IT experts to create an all-round immersive space. We brought together all of the construction elements with specialists, supervised the production of shop drawings, agreed on manufacturing details using shop drawings, and supervised the construction of the museum. The project was completed in a very short time in time for the opening of the museum for a visit by the President of Türkiye.
